I’ve been thinking about getting a smart thermostat installed to substitute the old, outdated thermostat I currently have… My brother got a smart thermostat a year ago, and then shortly after, my parents got one too, and both of them appreciate having their smart thermostats so I know I’d like having one, but I don’t know if I can justify the price; Smart thermostats are much more fancy than a traditional thermostat, however they can also do so much more… From what I’ve been told, a smart thermostat can connect to the WIFI and be controlled via a cell iPhone, but i honestly cherish this feature, because that means that I can change my temperature settings from somewhere at any time.
I also heard that smart thermostats had a GPS that was able to track my location and adjust my temperature settings according to where I was within the radius of the house.
Smart thermostats program themselves in order to make your Heating, Ventilation and A/C system run more efficiently! They know what temperatures you prefer during weird hours of the day and they can raise and lower the temperatures at a slower, more energy efficient pace; All of these features honestly intrigue me and I would cherish to have one installed in my house… However, the thermostat I have, although it may be old, I can still set the temperature and program it based on my needs. The only thing I can’t do, is connect it to my WIFI. I’m going to know about purchasing one a little bit longer.
