It took me forever to find a fine solution for my frigid basement.
I purchased my condo because the basement was completely finished in addition to I thought that I’d spend a lot of time down there.
I had dreams of watching films, building a condo gym, in addition to creating a guest room. Before I moved in, I saw myself using the basement more than any other room. Unluckyly, since the basement is underground, it’s a lot colder than any other room in the house, then there are only a few weeks while in the entire year that I can utilize the basement space comfortably. The first choice was more extravagant, which absolutely turned me off, but he recommended that since the basement was already connected to the HVAC duct, I could add the basement as a second zone in addition to install it’s own control unit; Other than being too extravagant, this choice also meant that I’d have to remember to program the control device in addition to give it enough time to overheated up the space before I was ready to use it. The second choice was a ductless mini split system. It could connect to the electricity in addition to be turned on in addition to off depending if I wanted to use the space. The ductless mini split system was cheaper in addition to quicker to heat in addition to cool the space, separate from affecting my central HVAC system, so I chose that option!
