My aged guy was always on my case, then that guy was a hard core Marine and it was his way inside the central air conditioner of his house.
- And it was his house, there was no question about that, and one his number one things to say was to tell me not to be a dope, however well, when it came to the air conditioner in my home, I was a total dope… It all started innocently enough.
I came household to find my home all sizzling and sticky. It was a late Summer afternoon and I was expecting to walk into a wall of air conditioner. Instead, I walked into a swampy home that hadn’t had any cooling in hours. I noted instantly that the heat pump was not running even though it was in the middle 90’s outside… So I walked over to the thermostat to make sure that there was power. The thermostat was lit up like it always is and the fan to the Heating and A/C device was able to come on, then but when I flipped it back and forth to cooling I could not get any air conditioner. I assume had the whole thing not had any power or done anything, I might have called the Heating and A/C company first. But what I did next is something that I still regret. Instead of calling the Heating and A/C professionals, I decided to go online and self diagnose my heat pump. This is a huge mistake that I sort of knew I was making as it was happening. I can be pigheaded about things that I want to solve instantly. And I definitely wanted some cooling comfort in that home as quickly as possible. But, I ended up being the dope who voided the warranty on his Heating and A/C because he tried to work on it.
